@pressingontx Saying you have had people walk out is probably at best a little misleading, I am going to guess that the people that have “walked out” are not people with complete injuries and are not people that have been injured for a long period of time
No, that’s the words of someone who has lost hope, that’s not the words of a disabled person. My cousin is a c-7 incomplete, He works every day to stay in the best shape possible, if you don’t use what you have in spinal cord injury you will lose it, he goes to college to. I will promise you within the next 10 years there will be an effective treatment for paralysis maybe not a 100 percent cure, but enough to get people walking. I refuse to believe that it is gone ‘forever’ in this day and age.
Excellent. Thank you for showing people that with hard work, determination, anything is possible!
Good job! I do the same things to my friends.Juan
does Alexa have a facebook or myspace?
Wow, nice way to stay positive, and ruin peoples goals in life.
i want adress this research recovery center for my child plz help me every one …
Anything out of the ordinary, is hated, or feared because it’s unknown. Not many people like to venture outside of their comfort zone. So, just giving up on regaining any function, and ‘dealing’ with what have is the easy way for many people, i have found.
I am looking for the opportunity to train in a facility like yours, but seem to be hitting a wall finding anything comperable in VT. i would love the oppurtunity to work with you guys and see what improvements could be made.
Below are just some of the benefits of training here:
• Increased motor &sensory function
• Increased circulation &d blood flow
• Increased bone density
• Increased muscular strength and endurance
• Enhanced flexibility &range of motion
• Increased nervous system stimulation
• Reduced nerve pain and spasms
• Balance & postural improvements
• Prevention of chronic & secondary conditions such as pressure sores & urinary tract infections
Doesn’t seem like a waste of money to me.
When our facility first opened, management decided to incorporate the word “recovery” into what we do. As trainers, we argued against using the term as it gave false hope. That being said, I can say without a doubt that every single person who has been to our facility, has left better than when they came in. We are not saying “come to Pressing On and you will magically walk” I can only dream we had that ability. That being said, we have had people literally walk out of here.
